Lead came is the softer metal channel that is used for the construction of large stained glass panels and windows such as those you might see in churches. Zinc came, brass came and copper came are often used as borders around the outside edge of large windows and panels and they are often located in strategically designed areas within the window to add strength and stability. Lead came for stained glass is available in many sizes and in both U channel (for borders) and H channel for interior pieces. Hobby came is very small and is used for sun catchers and very small pieces that do not require support.
